Please remember the details of the final portrait is directly related to the quality and focus of the photos you send me.. Every photo you send will help in color, eyes, personality.. A few close-ups are encouraged. I cannot paint a portrait off of a professionally taken photograph.
Remember to take your time when taking photos of pets. Be ready and take lots of shots.
Keep the sun behind without lots of shadowing in the face.
Try not take a shot above your pet, don't have them looking up at you. Set on the ground and get shots were they are..
I need lots of full face clear shots so using a zoom if you have one will work well for this.Remember down to their level. Also use your ( tiny flower) on your camera with out any zoom on it and just put the camera up-close to his face. This will give you a clear-close up. ( the flower without any zoom )If your pet won't set still get someone to hold them.. I can remove objects that need to be removed.
Keep your pet a calm as possible so I can see his personality. If the camera makes your pet uncomfortable try hiding it or have someone else keep his attention.
Try pretending you are taking shots of a baby. by holding treats or toys up by the camera this gets good shots normally.
Remember I need full shots of your pet and as clear as possible.. I cannot paint what I cannot see.. I want to see your pet so I can paint your pet and not just a dog/cat/bird that looks like your pet.
The nice thing is if you have a digital you can take as many as you want and only keep the good ones. then take more if needed. If you don't have a digital camera, try and get someone who has one to take the photos..
If you need help, email me.
Send your photo to me via email.
The more the better..
Again, remember I cannot paint what I cannot see..
Good luck.. Wanda wandabird3@yahoo.com
